There's no parallel man page and parallel --help is
very terse but I made the following stab(left the
'options' field blank):
sarawak heathen # /usr/lib/cups/backend/parallel 34
heathen error_log 1 error_log
ERROR: Unable to open parallel port device file
"/usr/lib/cups/backend/parallel": Text file busy

but according to localhost631/jobs:
