I noticed the same thing. There is a bug open about it on
bugs.gentoo.org I believe, but the workaround for now is:
mv ~/.adobe/Acrobat/7.0/Cache/UnixFnt07.lst
~/.adobe/Acrobat/7.0/Cache/UnixFnt.old
touch ~/.adobe/Acrobat/7.0/Cache/UnixFnt07.lst
That worked for me atleast.
