That is pretty much what I do, except that I also take the additional step of having "-*" for USE in my make.conf to disable anything that the profile adds by default. Goran, I would say the most critical flags you want set are: alsa arts kde hal mp3 ssl truetype dvd dvdread dvdr Most other flags I would add per package. Especially I recommend not adding apache/php use flags to make.conf, but to have those for specific packages in package.use. -Richard -- [email protected] mailing list
