go AMD. The memory access is much faster. And memory access is the major bottleneck. Also, the Opteron/amd64-athlons wipe the floor with the p4. There is no good reason to buy intel today. But... emm... I bought a Venive S939, 3200+ 1000MHZ HT for less than 130€ or so just 5Month ago. so you should get a much better CPU than you wrote for 150$ -- [email protected] mailing list
