Daniel, Right now mirroring is of secondary concern. Nothing I have done so far will allow me to install new packages. I always get the md5 verification error.
I tried the FEATURES="-strict" but that didn't help. Does portage use md5sum to compute the hash? Either the local md5sum has a bug, the hash from the mirror is wrong, or there is a bug in the script. I think the problem started when I ran the repcacheman from http-replicator.
