Evidently not! Shouldn't it have been created during the emerge? The
privoxy equivalent was created all on its own:
Up until now tor did not seem to have a problem with no log file,
what's changed?
Anyhow, creating a new /var/log/tor directory with (0750) access
rights and tor:tor ownership sorted it out.
