To add hibernate option you have to set SuspendCommand variable in /etc/X11/gdm.conf. However I found out that if I set this to hibernate script, it is not executed. SuspendCommand=/usr/sbin/hibernate I'm trying to get it work but I do not get any error message or error log. Executing hibernate script from console works.
