Because the gnome fellows didn't feel like implementing yet another html renderer and the mozilla fellows didn't split the renderer for firefox or seamonkey out in a separate package for all of them to depend on. This is the same as konqueror depending on khtml which is part of kdelibs... -- Bo Andresen
