you can try something like this :
in your .bashrc, add :
skipmerge(){
emerge --resume --skipfirst || skipmerge
}
then source your bashrc and try : emerge -auvDN world || skipmerge
that should work.

It would be particularly useful when emerging "world", "system" or
multiple packages, some of which have broken ebuilds.
