Thanks All for the suggestions of Amarok and Tellico.
Both appear excellent choices, though Tellico has caught my eye just a bit more only because it can do collections of other items as well, and I have in the back of my mind if this attempt is useful, to also try my movie collection.
I did read that Tellico can automatically fetch CD info, so if a CD is in the player, Tellico will fetch the info automatically then?
