equery list will do that I think. emerge gentoolkit to get that
command, if you haven't already.
Also, emerge eix and use eix to search for packages. eix will become one
of your best friend :), mostly because it's damn FAST.
If you use it, sync portage by doing eix-sync: this launches emerge
--sync AND updates the eix database.
