Oh fun! found me a bug... which is still "open" for over a year...
It's funny how my other Gentoo box doesnt have any broken GCC
libraries (although also upgraded to GCC 4.1.2) but instead has a
broken GIMP library that needs libexif.so.10.
So... edit the *.la files or create symlinks? ;-)
