You will need to add it to package.unmask and package.keywords file in /etc/portage. Then it will emerge it for you. Put this in package.keywords =sys-cluster/ganglia-3.0.3 ~x86 Put this in package-unmask =sys-cluster/ganglia-3.0.3 That should work. Also note it is version specific.
