Under Device section in your xorg.conf add the BusID number for your video device as shown in e.g. I am using the radeon driver and radeon frame buffer so I get: dmesg: radeonfb (0000:01:00.0): ATI Radeon LY lspci -v: 01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc Radeon Mobility M6 LY (prog-if 00 [VGA]) lshw: bus info: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:01:00.0 and in my xorg.conf I have: BusID "PCI:1:0:0" > /var/log/messages with info on fglrx These seem alright to me. > I do not find a xdm.log # find / -iname xdm.log I think xdm logging is switched on by default.
