Do as Volker says. After you run revdep-rebuild you will eventually come up to the XML error as you described. There's a whole thread about it in this ML (search for it in Gmane). The solution is to emerge -C XML-Parser && emerge -uaDv XML-Parser before you continue. If I recall you may have to do the same with gettext. HTH. -- Regards, Mick
