Both messages made it to the list. Looking at the code in the ebuild I don't see how this is possible (and hence how there could be a bug to fix). It does *not* test for /etc/devfs.d. If both of you are sure /etc/dev.d doesn't exist *and* if it's reproducible then by all means go ahead and file a bug. For diagnostics emerge --debug -1 udev should do.. -- Bo Andresen
