Hi! Before upgading to xorg-x11-7.3 I have (successfully) used this xorg.conf/kbd section option
Option "XkbOptions" "grp:alt_shift_toggle,grp_led:scroll" to indicate which kbd layout is in use. Now the led is always off. Even "Num Lock" swithing doesn't influence to an (another) appropriate led, which is always off also (but switching itself works, as is for layout switching is).
