Also take the hhhh:hhhh hex number (see 413c:3010 below) that lsusb spits out, and google that if lsusb itself gives unknown. It basically specifies the manufacturer and chipset/model. lsbusb -v is also helpful. i.e., >lsusb ... Bus 003 Device 003: ID 413c:3010 Dell Computer Corp.
