Just curious...I just emerged sun-jdk-1.6.0.03 and I saw that it's still installed directly in binary form, despite the recent news of java going open source. When will we (or better, portage) be able to compile java from sources? What's the status of the transition? How does openjdk relate to sun-jdk?
