OK. I can print echoing to /dev/lp0 on catherine. I haven't tried
printing from other boxes because I'm not quite sure how to echo
something to catherine's /dev/lp0 remotely. I still can't print from
seamonkey on catherine and konquerer still reports that something is
wrong with the CUPS server. I did grep those files:

catherine ~ # grep 'application/octet-stream' /etc/cups/mime.*
/etc/cups/mime.convs:application/octet-stream application/vnd.cups-raw
0 -
/etc/cups/mime.types:application/octet-stream

Still nothing useful in the error log. When I tried to step through the
printer config in the CUPS web interface and selected my printer model,
it said that it couldn't copy the PPD file. Our printer is an Epson
Stylus C88. I ordered a test page printed about half an hour ago, and
when I stepped through the printer config it suddenly printed it. The
test page looked good, but seamonkey still crashes if I try to access
the Print dialogue (including Print Preview). What else can I do?
