But the man page still states that in the column WCHAN the function, in which a process are sleeping, will be displayed. Either the function name (if System.map is available) or the address of the function or a "-" if the process is running. On my system, according to the man page of top, all processes are running. That can't be right.
Where is /usr/bin/top looking for the System.map? Thanks in advance. W. Canis
