I also could never get the 64bit flash to work wiith konqueror-3.5, and nspluginwrapper simply never ever worked at all for me. I had to use firefox to view flash. Latest adobe-flash is 64 bit and works well in konqueror-4.2. Top reports around 10% cpu usage when idle, but that's probably more due to a stupid blocking IO strategy by Adobe than anything else.
