They seem to have an explanation on the webpage: http://www.kde-apps.org/content/show.php?content=44998 The 4GB limit is due to Qt3 limits on 32-bit architectures. They don't mention if it affects also 64-bit systems. But in other news there, they seem to have released kbackup 0.6 just a month ago, which incidentally among other things removes the 4GB limit: "- Port to cmake and KDE4/Qt4, which also removes the 4GB limit per file" -- Arttu V.
