That was it -- 2.6.32 does the right thing, but I was too used to the
wrong thing. 2.6.31 with "shortname=mixed" duplicates 2.6.32 default
behavior, and 2.6.32 with "shortname=lower" duplicates 2.6.31 default
behavior.
