Yeah, the current code is pretty awful, and we still have some xml nano
http calls which don't respect proxies for example. All those would need
to be replaced, and it would be pretty straight forward to replace.
Any chance you could cook up a patch Ross?
Fully agreed, The proxy situation especially is indeed a problem that
should be solved... I'll take a look at rest-ifying if Ross isn't
volunteering.
