Thank God someone is finally going to tell the truth about this. I am getting so sick and tired of all those e-mails and papers about how this could be done. The plan to "design" particles is either (a) a fantasy of frustrated scientists who are mad with those who have already grabbed the bull by the horns and think practically or (b) a not so clever attempt to try to sabatoge the work ongoing by redirecting interest into long term dead end projects. I think it's both. Don't agree? Look at the list of authors.

However, scientists are beginning to study how to design and introduce aerosol particles into the stratosphere to block solar radiation. New work investigates how the gases would form particles and what their sizes and properties would be. It also looks at how such aerosols would evolve in the atmosphere, circulate around the world, and finally exit the atmosphere.
