Here's an alternative name: carbon air capture
Sometimes, an even longer name is used - carbon capture from ambient air
The name indicates that carbon isn't captured at the site of emission,
such as when scrubbers are built into coal-fired power plants, which
is sometimes referred to as "clean coal" and - when combined with
storage - Carbon Capture and Storage, or Carbon Capture and
Sequestration (CCS).

Note that the abobe wikipedia page also mentions Terra Preta, Biochar,
etc, but no mention of Carbon Air Capture, nor of a wider perspective
as to what can be done with the captured carbon.

Consider also mentioning the work of David Keith.
