Please note that discussion on "Hot or Cold World" will be taken up straight away by climate sceptics to defuse all need to rein in emissions, adapation, mitigation, or, geoengineering (!). Keep this matter "taboo" as the point of probabilities are for fast warming by anthropogenic forcing that over-rides the long term (slow) effects of the orbital forcing possibly kicking in. There is NO sudden ice age cooling, except, i.e. when Ronne and Ross Ice Shelves break up the way Wilkins or Larsen B did by putting huge amounts of ice afloat on ocean. When huge amounts of ice are discharged into oceans, only then we see the sudden onset of cooling like the Younger Dryas era. My favourites for Ice Age (Younger Dryas) conditions is disintegration of (1.) Ronne and (2.) Ross Ice Shelves (if it happened suddenly) and (3.) the ice sheet land containment failure in Greenland in post-sea ice Arctic Ocean, perhaps (4.) WAIS [though don't see how]. Please note I expect clarification from Norway what was the panic yesterday about. I will not be able to comment fully on its merits until I have first hand information given of it.
