I was invited to cover this particular area at "The Arctic - Mirror of Life" 
symposium which was convened by His Excellency Kofi Annan (the former United 
Nations' Secretary General) and His Excellency Jose Manuel Barroso (the 
President of European Commission) and HAH Bartholomaios I in Nuuk, Greenland, 
September 2007 for the Group B Nations.

 

I am underlying some aspects one might induce the triggering of volcanic 
eruptions based on discussions at the UN about the impact of melting ice on the 
ground below.

The above ice-volcano (crust and lithosphere) teleconnections are behind even 
larger scale processes suggested by Group B Nations to UN General Assembly:

 

Please note that the Frozen Isthmuses' Protection Campaign (FIPC) deals with 
geophysical evidencing for the World Indigenous Nations Summit's complaint to 
the United Nations' General Assembly, the Group B of Nations complaint 
(UNGA-101292) which disputes the causative, duration and termination of the ice 
age and re-allocates ice-age events to large geothermal fluctuations on the 
Iceland - Jan Mayen section of the Mid Atlantic Ridge.  

 

 

Group B Nations: Large Ice-Volcano-Sea Level Coupling to UN General Assembly:

 

The Group B of Nations complaint to the UN General Assembly suggest that the 
cause of ice age events lies in a destabilised Icelandic hot spot that rapidly 
heated the sea water of the North Atlantic Ocean. This induced a rapid, massive 
precipitation event as sea level fell and the ice accumulated on lands, leading 
to a feedback loop where more volcanic rocks seeped out in runaway venting: the 
"mega-Surtsey event". For this reason, Group B Nations aspire carrying out a 
short-life cosmogenic radio isotopic carbon-14 testing from a pre-glaciation 
era biodetritus from under Greenland's ice dome to prove their large 
ice-volcano connections (in an attempt to "dismiss" the 500 kyr orbital forcing 
propagated by the Western Nations) as the cause of the ice age which they claim 
was very short.

 

 

'Polarity Reversion' Not Cause of Magnetic Pole Migration but Greenland's Ice 
Sheet Mass Balance Changes Injecting Non-Conductive Minerals into the Faraday's 
Cage:

 

The Group B rejects claim that an impending Magnetic Field Polarity Reversion 
event, which last occurred 870,000 years ago, caused the 2000-2007 suddenly 
escalating migration of the Magnetic North Pole. Group B is of view, the 
alteration of Greenland's ice sheet mass balance makes the base of lithosphere 
(under Greenland) to hammer non-conductive minerals into the heavier, 
electrically-active, Faraday's Cage of the Earths Core below. The injection of 
non-conductive material from beneath Greenland then causes the Faraday's Cage 
to reduce its electrical conductivity. The electric currents re-route to go 
around Greenland where good electrical conductivity is still found. 
(Ultra-thin, electrically-active Faraday's Cage of the Earth's Core forms a 
layer where the internal repulsion of the electrons are in equilibrium with the 
constrained outward expansion due the falling electric conductivity and 
increasing resistance of the overlying, lighter density minerals.)

 

 

Other Coupling/Teleconnections Effects from Changes in Greenland Ice Sheet:

 

Group B: The recent changes in Greenland's gravity field are also due to 
mechanical transportation of materials from base of lithosphere in combination 
with weight loss (or increase) of ice sheet. The lighter, non-conductive, 
materials loosened into the Faraday's Cage 'resurface' at the base of the 
isostatically rebounding lithosphere base under the Hudson Bay area while the 
conductive, metallic materials fall further into (and below) the Faraday's 
Cage. The magnetic polarity fluctuations are not only affected, but the 
mechanical transmission across FC junction varies earth's spin as the base of 
lithosphere hammers differently into the faster-spinning core below. Since 1999 
this results leap seconds as the observed rotation on surface reflects 
variability of the bottommost layers where 'promoted earthquakes' become the 
question of 'altered spin' as surface ice melts.

 

 

Getting Volcanoes to Erupt in Massive Stratospheric Ejaculation 

 

Whether or not Group B large scale ice-volcano coupling exist, the ice-volcano 
connections might theoretically be deployed to trigger volcanic eruptivity, but 
the problem is still how to get the stuff to rise out to the stratosphere.  
This issue of inadequate eruption is aptly coming on the climatic assessment 
for 2010's below:

 

"A study by Doug Smith and four colleagues at the Hadley Centre forecast that 
global temperatures will rise by a likely 0.3 degrees Celsius above the 2004 
level by 2014 but it would appear likely that there will be a jump in 
temperature in 2010 though global temperature will continue to rise thereafter. 
... Dr Smith estimates that global temperature will be about 0.15 degrees 
Celsius above the 2004 level by 2010. My best estimate, if no massive volcano 
puts dust into the Stratosphere, is that the global temperature will be 0.25 
degrees Celsius above 2004 in 2014 though obviously this is only an estimate. 
This is about 0.75 degrees Celsius warmer than the global temperature up until 
1976 for 2014. 

 

In recent years the global temperature has been half a degree Celsius warmer 
than it was up until 1976 though it has barely warmed at all recently. 2008 
started off quite cool mainly because of a powerful La Nina Event. The eleven 
year sunspot cycle is near its nadir at present (mid 2008) and will peak late 
in 2012. Global temperatures rise very slightly to the peak of a cycle and fall 
to its nadir though these effects are small compared to the effects of 
anthropogenic Global Warming.

 

This La Nina event has just disappeared. One effect of these events is that 
they cool the planet. Hence when the Southern Oscillation returns to a neutral 
state as is now happening the planet will warm slightly. This will add to the 
warming as a result of the sunspot cycle moving towards its maximum. Should 
there not be a very large volcano which puts enough dust into the Stratosphere 
to cool the planet for a few years then this, combined with warming as a result 
of anthropogenic Global Warming, will probably cause 2010 to be the warmest 
year globally on record and this should have serious negative consequences for 
global ecology and humanity."  John Davies, 23 October 2008

 

 

As per the above, it does not sound not too promising to manipulate volcanic 
eruptions. But if one wants to try, the best bit would be to try to break 
mountain glaciers or ice sheets. Lubricating glaciers could speed them up and 
thus increase 'promoted volcanoes' and sadly 'promoted earthquakes' as well.
