Yet another brainstorm idea, i.e. no clue whether it's plausible.

When acid enters the groundwater, I would expect it to be partly
neutralized by the subsoil and rock it percolates through, before
emerging into streams and eventually the ocean.  In the case of
organic acids, the anion is eventually degraded, leaving an alkaline
material.  So altering agricultural processes or other land use to
produce more acidity in groundwater might decrease ocean
acidification.
