Except for some of the crackpot schemes, I wouldn't expect much of a response as PI's tend to consider even concept proposals confidential business information. I wrote the above before reading your posting and the Hoffert's abstract, so we are in agreement on the CBI issue. Their proposal sounds interesting and well thought out, thus one can conclude that no space-based power proposals were moved through to the next stage, unless it was the one featured on Discovery Project Earth where preliminary field tests were conducted. Badly written procurement, lots of unhappy people. Welcome to the Government.
