Jim Roland makes a good point about land use. But he contrasts this problem with global warming, whereas really it is all part of a number of interrelated problems, resulting from neglect of our environment and behaving as if there were no tomorrow (stuffing CO2 in atmosphere, overfishing, deforestation, etc.). These problems tend to compound one another.
