Hi, We have a proposal for a dam of the majority of Hudson Bay. Discharge is some 30.900 cu. mt. per second, around 900 cubic kilometers per year, enough to make a difference in Venice, Bangla Desh, the Netherlands... Average water depth is about 100 m. and the surface is more than one million square km. The lower salinity will result in more ice and will lower the planetary albedo. There are several options for a dam complex, it is of course a tremendous endeavour but it is feasible, we are certainly talking of cubic Compensations should be devised for Canada, but the people affected are a much smaller number than those who would benefit.
We very much appreciate your feedback. Thanks!
