There is at least a rumor that there might be a related meeting on governance issues on Nov 10 and 11 following the already advertised meeting focused on science issues (Nov 8 and 9).
Those planning to attend the science-oriented meeting, who also have interest in governance issues, or those whose interests are focused more narrowly on governance issues (and thus have little interest in attending the science-oriented meeting), might want to block off 10 and 11 Nov 2010 on their calendars, pending a formal announcement. ___________________________________________________ Ken Caldeira Carnegie Institution Dept of Global Ecology 260 Panama Street, Stanford, CA 94305 USA [email protected] http://dge.stanford.edu/DGE/CIWDGE/labs/caldeiralab +1 650 704 7212; fax: +1 650 462 5968 On Sun, Jan 24, 2010 at 11:29 PM, JR <[email protected]> wrote: > I don't think I've seen this event listed here. > - Jesse Reynolds > > > http://royalsociety.org/Geoengineering-taking-control-of-our-planets-climate/ > > Geoengineering - taking control of our planet's climate > > Start Time: 9.00am > Start Date: 08 November 2010 > End Date: 09 November 2010 > End Time: 5.00pm > Venue: The Royal Society, London > > Organised by Dr Andy Ridgwell, Professor Chris Freeman and Dr Richard > Lampitt > > Society seems unable or unwilling to make the drastic reductions in > CO2 emissions necessary to avoid dangerous' (unacceptable) climate > change.
