Recently had the opportunity to report on a paper that is yet to be published, by Scott Elliott at LANL. I got him to speculate on the implications of his work for seeding arctic waters in order to make sure the methanotrophs up there have enough nutrients to oxidize emissions from clathrates. This is all extremely preliminary, but I thought the group might find it of interest. Here's the last graf of the piece:
