Ken

Just watched this on BBC iPlayer. It was about 6 minutes and you came
across well. Multiple mentions that geoengineering isn't an
alternative to abatement. Clear that it is a response to lack of
political progress on abatement; not all options are feasible and
further research is needed. I think those key messages came across
well presenting the geoengineering community as sane scientists (even
if perhaps a little ecccentric with references to wacky solutions)
genuinely concerned about the future of planet contrary to the image
put out by the likes of ETC . Doug Parr seemed to suggest that loft
insulation would solve global warming. He went on to say that 'some
of the things we need to do to tackle climate change are actually
fairly straightforward' but sadly didn't explain what they were or how
they would realised on a suffcient scale and with sufficient rapidity
to avert the climate catastrophe you referred to.

This is the link for those that are able to watch it.

The piece begins at 26mins 45secs into the programme (after Libya and
Greece), there is an introduction dealing with sun spots before a
studio introduction to geoengineeering and mention of the upcoming
IPCC meeting in Lima. Your segment starts at 31mins 20secs.

Well done.
