You seem to be arguing against a straw man.

First:  Of course, if climate is modified, weather is also modified. Nobody
is rebranding anything.

There are two ends of a spectrum: one end in which people would try  to
influence specific weather events and the other end in which people would
try to influence weather statistics (i.e., climate). There is no rebranding
here.

Second: You say "weather modification is unproven science".  Science does
not try to prove nouns. Scientists try to falsify statements.  Scientists
work only on the unproven.
