However silly,  there may be elements of value in musing.

What if the high-albedo plastic(*) was both imbued with micro-nutrients and 
set to degrade at specific rates?  Appropriate rates of decay could ensure 
that macro-nutrients would not be depleted  before the micro-nutrients. 
 Biological fouling aside, this might be a method to combine some SRM and 
CDR at the same time.

(*) high surface area and low volume spheres much like the glass spheres 
mentioned in a much earlier post.
