Those interested in the psychology of the chemtrails conspiracy theory may want to keep up to date with the investigation described on the above link. Obviously, the theory is complete nonsense. I've not pasted the text, to avoid confusion - but the investigation is real. It appears superficially to be a bona fide scientific investigation into the ground chemistry allegedly affected by the chemtrails. It will be interesting to see how this pans out. Will untraced pollution be found, and then mistakenly attributed to chemtrails? Will results be negative? If so, will this result be accepted? As time goes on I become more interested in chemtrails as a social concept, because it's superficially similar to what we're proposing, at least to the layman. Getting public consent is going to be affected by the conspiracy theory and its advocates, despite the obvious folly of their beliefs. What form this effect will take is far from clear.
