Hi All -

I would like to invite you all to engage in further consideration of
photosynthesis as *the* key process in addressing climate change. There is
sufficient scientific evidence and more than enough reason to move forward
with well-managed eco-restoration to remove excess carbon from the
atmosphere and store it biologically, mostly in deep soils where it can be
stable and out of the global carbon cycle for centuries or longer. At the
same time that low-tech eco-restoration quickly and inexpensively addresses
climate, it brings biodiversity, water, food and economic stability to
local communities, especially in developing countries. And in the scheme
of things, it's the safest "technology" out there, having been through
almost 4 billion years of testing!

We know how to do this on billions of acres of degraded land worldwide in a
variety of biomes, and it can bypass many of the current philosophical and
political divides. Most people would prefer lush, green, productive
landscapes to tracts of dead, parched land - you don't even need to believe
in global warming to support feeding people and providing livelihoods
(capturing carbon along the way).

Accordingly, please consider attending our November conference in the
Boston area, Restoring <http://bio4climate.org/conference-2014>
