I respond as one of the list’s “biochar enthusiasts”.
Her article is probably fairly accurate in reporting on what biochar
researchers and sales forces are talking about - soils/food/water/etc (where
the money is) and not climate (where there is only a little money from
voluntary credits)
Doesn’t matter too much, as there is zero conflict between the main
functions of biochar.
The parts she wrote about (I have been told by some sellers) may be
growing at about a 300% per year annual growth rate. No-one is officially
monitoring production or sales. The experience/learning curve slope is
unknown, but might be looking good.
