This note intended as a warning - mainly that this article (dealing
almost entirely with patent issues) is from 2010. The term “geoengineering” is
intended to mean (mainly - not entirely) solar geoengineering.
My personal view is that patents in much/most of the CDR world are
probably a help - as IP is the main way to raise needed funds. I hope Chris
Avery and/or others from the UM can comment on this missing aspect of their
study, some 5 years later.
