Hi Andrew, It might be of interest to the Geoengineering Googlegroup that geoengineering figures among the topics addressed by the high-level Commission on Global Security, Justice & Governance in its recent report, *Confronting the Crisis of Global Governance*. Co-chaired by former US Secretary of State Madeline Albright and former Nigerian Foreign Minister Ibrahim Gambari, the Commission gathered a blue ribbon panel of experts from government and civil society – including former Foreign Ministers of Brazil, Canada, India, and Japan – to examine key 21st century challenges confronting the international community and recommend effective and inclusive reforms to global governance mechanisms. The Commission chose to focus its deliberations on three crucial issues at the intersection of security, justice, and global governance. These issues are peace and stability in fragile states, international economic shocks in the inter-connected world economy, and *global climate change*. Among its recommendations to enhance global climate governance, the Commission calls for the establishment of a Climate Engineering Advisory Board and Experiments Registry.
