I have read on twitter from more than one source that Steve Rayner has unfortunately passed away. I didn't know him very well myself, but I do know that he has been hugely influential in this community, and will be very much missed by many of us.
I have no details of the circumstances, or of the funeral/memorial at this time. With thoughts to all his friends, family and colleagues at this time.
