Hello! I'm bringing to you now, a list of interesting recent podcasts on
Geoengineering/Climate Change.

Hope you enjoy!

*Refreezing the arctic and other climate actions backed by scientific
research ft. Dr Shaun Fitzgerald, Centre for Climate Repair at Cambridge*
by Mission Shunya

https://open.spotify.com/episode/7yzHmsG84BX99ftSJBsl7P?si=wgECydXFTEWnN6piYc-tEw&dl_branch=1

"Is refreezing the arctic a viable climate action?
What are the pathways for deep and rapid emissions reductions?
What are the nature based solutions for greenhouse gas removal?
All your questions on this and more answered on this episode where we
discuss Climate action backed by scientific research and robust evidence
with Dr Shaun Fitzgerald OBE from Centre for Climate Repair at Cambridge
(CCRC) who joins Girish Shivakumar for a conversation. CCRC is also
affiliated to the Cambridge Zero initiative."

*How We Can Fight Climate Change By Using AI*
by Most Innovative Companies

https://open.spotify.com/episode/5D62En5MEEOHF5Krdu9CAc?si=YP3TYQ0DQDaLX6ntpcpYAQ&dl_branch=1

"We're talking about AI in this episode. Once the villain of Sci Fi
thrillers, AI is one of the most crucial—and misunderstood—sectors that we
cover here at Fast Company. The truth is, AI—in some form or
another—underpins the operations of just about every company these days,
from powering self-driving technologies in our cars to serving up product
recommendations when we’re shopping online. And though we’re increasingly
aware of how algorithms can perpetuate and amplify inequities, AI is also
being used by companies to solve some of the world’s most pressing
problems, increasing crop yields, fighting disinformation, and helping us
track and control a global pandemic.
We're featuring one such company: Pachama, an MIC honoree that’s taking on
climate change with the help of some advanced AI and data science. Amy
speaks with Co-founder and CEO Diego Saez Gil about how Pachama is
revolutionizing the fight against global warming. "

*Sudhanshu Jain comments the paper Methods for Dispersal of Precipitated
Calcium Carbonate for Stratospheric Aerosol Injection*
by Reviewer 2 does Geoengineering

https://open.spotify.com/episode/2lyuoz4nYqpSpytC4j2H4h?si=oNkDrDBuQji3Cm813poIog&dl_branch=1

"In this episode, Sudhanshu Jain, comments the paper that presents two
methods for the lab-scale formation of aerosols of nanosized particles of
precipitated calcium carbonate (PCC) with potential for use in
Stratospheric Aerosol Injection (SAI), a Solar Radiation Management (SRM)
technique. You can find the paper here:

*Daniele Visioni and Gideon Futerman discuss the Event Solar
Geoengineering: Warnings from Scientists, Indigenous Peoples, Youth, and
Climate Activists*
by Reviewer 2 does Geoengineering

https://open.spotify.com/episode/0pQW3mmN4YvJTjZdx3XPnA

"In this episode, student Gideon Futerman welcomes researcher Daniele
Visioni to discuss the event Solar Geoengineering: Warnings from
Scientists, Indigenous Peoples, Youth, and Climate Activists that happened
on the 9th june 2021. You can check the recording of the event here:
https://youtu.be/Sqlt5lqDpY8
Daniele Visioni is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at Cornell
University, Sibley School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, working
with prof. Douglas MacMartin on the newly funded Geoengineering Assessment
across Uncertainties, Scenarios, and Strategies GAUSS project. His research
is currently focused on studying Sulfate Geoengineering, a form of climate
engineering that aims to partially, temporarily, offset the effects of
climate change by means of injecting sulfate precursors in the stratosphere
in order to reflect a small part of the incoming solar radiation and thus
reduce global temperatures."
