Dear all,
this is to let you know that the meeting summary for the 11th GeoMIP meeting
held last summer is now available online in the Bulletin of the American
Meteorological Society.
You can find it here
https://journals.ametsoc.org/view/journals/bams/103/3/BAMS-D-21-0201.1.xml
<https://journals.ametsoc.org/view/journals/bams/103/3/BAMS-D-21-0201.1.xml>
"Future Geoengineering Scenarios: Balancing Policy Relevance and Scientific
Significance”.

I would also like to use this email to remind you that the deadline for any
Early Career applicants who wish to be considered for an oral presentation to
the Gordon Research Seminar
<https://www.grc.org/climate-engineering-grs-conference/2022/> should submit
their application and abstract by March 25, 2022.
The same deadline also applies for the request for GeoMIP funding to attend the
Seminar and Conference (where the next GeoMIP meeting will be held), which you
can find below.
The deadline to apply for the GRS and for the GRC is still the 28th of May.

> We are in the fortunate position to have funds to support travel for a number
> of people to attend this conference. If you are interested in attending, as
> an already active participant in the geoengineering research field, we will
> welcome your application for travel support (see details below). We will
> give priority to invited speakers, students, early career scientists (within
> 5 years of a Ph.D.), and scientists from developing countries. To give you
> time to make plans, we have established a deadline of March 25, 2022, for
> your application for GeoMIP funding.
>
> To apply for GeoMIP funding, please send an email to Alan Robock at
> [email protected] <mailto:[email protected]> and Damien
> Carroll-Debose [email protected] <mailto:[email protected]> ,
> with an attachment, all in one pdf file, with the following information:
>
> Name
> Address
> Email
> Years since your Ph.D. (negative if you are a student)
> Your past participation in GeoMIP
> Your plans for future participation in GeoMIP
> Title of the poster you will present
> Budget for total expenses, including registration fee and travel
> The amount of support you are requesting from GeoMIP
>
> Please submit this application by March 25. Please also note that the Gordon
> Research Conference will separately support travel for a number of attendees,
> so don’t forget to apply there as well. It is not necessary to register at
> this moment, and with an announcement of your grant, we will provide
> information on registration and travel. If you come from outside the U.S.,
> because the funding is from the National Science Foundation, you will be
> required to fly on a U.S. flag carrier. We will ask you to fill out a
> Rutgers travel request, and our travel agency will purchase the ticket for
> you.
>
> This application for funding does NOT constitute applying to attend the
> conference itself. Attendance must be approved by the organizers. The
> deadline for application to attend the Gordon Research Conference is May 29,
> 2022. You may apply to attend at the website,
> https://www.grc.org/climate-engineering-conference/2022/
> <https://www.grc.org/climate-engineering-conference/2022/> .

Best,
Daniele Visioni and Alan Robock
