Hello Walker Lee,

Thank you very much for taking the time to reply, and for the link to your
primer. I appreciate it. I think this may indeed be very useful at one of the
levels I mentioned.

Just a little more explanation about my background and what motivated my
'request'. I have been following the various geoengineering technologies,
fairly seriously, for about a decade now, and have a fair degree of familiarity
with them. My focus has been on SAI as it is addresses the global nature of,
well, 'global' warming. I am in favor of vastly more funding of all
approaches, and I am very much in favor of immediate initial testing of all
methods. I am trained in physics and spent my career working in the field of
solar coronal physics. I can generally make it through technical, refereed
papers in fields of physics, etc. I have been reading journal papers in this
area to try to keep up.

I recently had a conversation with two intelligent, educated 'laypersons' and
was aghast to find that neither had ever even heard of the techniques of SRM,
and in particular SAI - and not just the obscure acronyms. In 'my world',
everybody knows about SAI, if only from all the bad popular press it still gets
(unfortunately their familiarity, even among the physicists, is usually
superficial, biased, and not deep). But here were two educated people who'd
never even heard popular reporting on it. And I think they may be 'typical' of
a lot of people. This is what motivated me to reach out to the geoengineering
community for introductory overview material by experts. I promised to provide
them with 'overview material' on SAI. So I appreciate in particular, any
suggestions at the level of these two outsiders.

On a slightly grander scale, it made me interested in locating material for
educating the 'public', including other scientists, about SAI and other
geoengineering methods at the three different levels I mentioned.

It really is amazing how insular our own worlds can be without our realizing it.

Sorry for all the words, but trying to give the context and aim of my request.

Thanks much for the reply and link.
