University of Minnesota Sea Grant Resilience Extension EducatorThe University of Minnesota Sea Grant College Program seeks to fill up to two Resilience Extension Educator positions. - Position type: Full time, 12-month appointment - Salary range: $39,199 to $65,00 per year - Location: Duluth, Minnesota The resilience extension educator will hold a Minnesota Sea Grant College Program extension educator position in the University of Minnesota’s academic staff category. The extension educator will report to and be supervised by the Minnesota Sea Grant associate director of outreach. The resilience extension educator will be responsible for providing coastal stakeholders with outreach and applied research relevant to the University of Minnesota Sea Grant’s mission and strategic plan. Preferred candidates will have experience and knowledge relevant to community resilience to climate hazards. The educator will develop, conduct, and evaluate extension programming relevant to coastal stakeholder needs. The educator will work closely with stakeholders and other Minnesota Sea Grant staff, University of Minnesota Extension staff, Great Lakes Sea Grant Network and Sea Grant extension educators nationwide who are involved in related issues. Candidates must possess at least a master’s degree. This degree must be from a regionally accredited institution or equivalent, with emphasis on environmental science, land use, environmental or natural resource planning, environmental policy, or other fields related to climate resilience.
