Hi all,

Currently in 4.3 SP2, my testing has shown that alpha-numeric line data is
not supported. Simple numerical line data is accepted of course. If you are
able to send me a sample of your data perhaps we can find a workaround for
the moment. My first thoughts are to perform a search/replace operation on
the dataset. You could do this in a special text editor (Ultraedit-32 is
good for this) or from within montaj itself (Utility/ Search/Replace). Maybe
with this method we can uniquely specify the seismic lines numerically and
still hold some correlation to the true alpha-numeric line references.

Cheers

Subject: [geonet]: importing lines with names containing alphabets

Hi users,

I am faced with the problem of importing and plotting seismic navigation
lines
which have names like:

AR-12SA1

At the last conference I was told that geosoft is adapting the program to
handle this.
Has this happened. Or is there another way I can handle the problem at this
stage?

Thanks for your help.
Beate
