Beate:
The import was modified to handle alpha-numeric lines, but because it must
be able to
handle all the original line types, it will always assign alpha-numeric
lines with "special"
first letters the particular line types. You can use this to your advantage
(for instance
by pre-pending all the alpha-numeric lines with the type you want them to
be).
After import, all lines, whether alpha-numeric or purely numeric, will
continue to start
with one of the 7 pre-defined line type letters.
However, you can change all the selected lines to any of the given line
types using
the Data|Lines|Edit line/group command, so just import as before and change
them
all to normal lines at the end.
The display for alpha-numeric lines is a know bug which has been fixed for
the
next version/update. It would actually print "L-2147483646", which is the
Geosoft long dummy
value, so no "number" is assigned to these lines.
